When there is nothing else to shoot, just shoot yourself.

And, that's exactly what I did.

Things are a wee bit crazy at the moment. I'm trying to apply for some business courses, make time for photography, and work.

The weather's been a little iffy too, driving me crazy as usual. I hate rain. I know, what on earth am I doing living in Vancouver?

To summarize this past week, I had a speed course in "how to control your car when it swerves on an uphill turn, in pouring rain and traffic' -- that one was fun, and I also mastered "photographing people while holding an umbrella, and an off camera flash in strong wind". I should take up juggling next.

I really liked this umbrella. It's too bad that it literally fell apart after two uses.

Bye, bye umbrella.

These I cab't live with out.

Being in front of the camera is as enjoyable to me as eating live snails, but what can I do when there is nothing interesting for me to shoot, and it's disgusting outside?

How Anime Ags Was Created

My mind has some very strange ways of amusing itself. After the last post I really needed to keep myself distracted, and I did.

So this is what I came up with.

Take 1.

Darkened my hair color... in Photoshop.

This is great for when you're deciding what hair color to pick, or, if you feel like dying your hair temporarily, minus the damage it causes, and mess.

Take 2.

Red Hair.

Take 4.

Discovered that the Liquify Tool is a lot of fun.

Take 5.

One more try, and voila. Totally amused mind, Anime Ags was created.

Remembering Rasel

If you ever knew my dog, you'd know why he was so very special to me.

I was there when he was born, caring for his litter until the day I was able to take him home with me. I always considered him to be my best friend, and loved him more than anything.

He was always there for me, keeping me company, making sure I was safe. Every night, he'd lay down next to my bed and put his paw up for me to hold as we both fell asleep. He knew my school schedule so well that every day, at 3 pm, he'd sit and wait on my grandma's balcony awaiting my arrival. He'd bark to say hello the minute he saw me.

He was a very good dog, except that one time when he was a pup and pulled a string sticking out from our living room carpet out of boredom - he unwound almost all of it.

I will cherish every memory I have of him for the rest of my life. My deepest regret is that I wasn't with him when he passed away, and I couldn't tell him goodbye.

"Friendship is one mind in two bodies."

- Mencius

Friends are a blessing and I am thankful for all of my friends. I am blessed to have really good, kind-hearted, honest and fun-loving friends, whom I can always count on.

So thank you guys; thank you for always being there for me.

Tasty thoughts

As days shorten and the surrounding landscape puts on the most vibrant display of oranges and reds my mind starts to shift its focus from hot action packed summer days to crisp, chilly months of Autumn. My mind shifts its focus this time of year and becomes quite single minded, from beach walks and cold summer drinks to warm knits, forrest walks and excellent tasting food.

It's not my fault I obsess over good food, I know it's a normal response to colder climate, and who cares if my butt gets a bit bigger. I'll just have more space on the couch. :D

Great Garlic Dip recipe:

4 Tbsp Mayo
3 Tbsp Sour Cream
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1/4 -1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt/Pepper to taste

Combine, mix, enjoy!
